ONGOING EVENTS

All Events happen at the Devon Pioneers 73 Club Centre at 29 St Lawrence Ave in Devon, AB unless otherwise noted.  Everyone +50 is encouraged to take membership at the club.  Cost is $20/year.  We are open to any ideas anyone has to improve activities at the club.

Monthly Luncheon Meeting  – Second Thursday of each month, September thru June, except December.  Lunch is for Members Only at a cost of $10 each.  Lunch may vary from time to time.  Lunch is being catered by one of our members and the meals are great.  Includes a meal (sometimes soup, sandwiches, dessert, coffee, tea.  Other times it may vary)  For the time being we are pre selling tickets and these tickets are available at the various club activities a couple weeks prior to the luncheon.

Quilting Group – Mondays 9 to noon September to May. You do not need to know how to quilt!  Making basic quilts for charity-come to socialize, cut material, select colors, tie knots and learn. Coffee & tea each week. Some afternoon training sessions held throughout the year.  We accept donations of material, polyester filling, wool. Most quilts are donated throughout the area to those who need them. One or two are donated for our fundraising raffle each Christmas. Line Dancing – Finished for the season and returning in May.  Every Tuesday from 10:30 am (May to October) Beginner Line-Dancing; Intermediate Line-Dancing at 11:00 am.  May change from time to time.  Call Linda 780-504-0911 for more information.

Crib year round – Tuesdays  7:00 pm – friendly competition! Except Christmas.   Cost is $7 to play for members.  Call 780-987-6227 for any questions.

Floor Curling – Wednesdays 1:00 pm Fun games, teams made each week.  Cost is $2 for members.  Runs September to May.

Crib Tournament – 2nd Sunday of each month at 11 am.   $40/team,  50/50 draws. Advance registration required.        Call  Colleen at 780-910-4388 to register.      

Canasta year round – Wednesdays of each month starting at 6:30 pm.  Cost is $2 for members.

Drop in -Fridays 9 am – 2 pm  –  cancelled due to lack of interest.

Bridge – Moved to Discovery Place.   Contact Diane at 780-987-2829 for more information

Music Jam – Every 4th Friday of the month – 1:30 to 4:30 pm.   Guest $10 and musicians $5.  See poster for more details.  No Music Jam in July or August.
